Hello, Iwhat size amp do I need to power 4 pioneer speakers rated at 35 rms each and eventually hook up a sub to it. Is it possible to to power the four speakers and a sub with the same amp? I drive a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and HU is a JVC KD-HDR50 if that makes a difference.

several companies make a 5 channel amp to run mids and highs and your sub.Woofersetc has an eclipse thats 50x4 + 300 watts that sould work as long as you don't crank the gain up real high. And thats just one of many on that site. I certainly wouldn't get an amp rated any higher than 50 watts to run your speakers rated at 35w. I know also there are other 5 channel amps that offer lower than 50x4 thats just the first one i ran into. Again as long as you keep the gain down and listen for distortion when tunning and playing they should be fine. 50x4 would also allow you a little room for up grade in the future to if you got tired of the pioneers. I ran mbquart Q line components off of my ppi 50x4 and that sounded really good.
