i possibly maybe getting a scion tc, what year did the ipod usb port come in the car? and if i get one and it doesn't have the usb cord that comes with the car, can i just use the usb cord that came with my ipod? and does the scion tc comes with a nice stock system?

well i believe the question is not about whether or not he is going to look cool but about the ipod connectivity. so i'll keep to the topic.
starting with the 2007, all scion tc's come equipped with the ipod port. they give you a basic audio cable and special aux jack cable. the standard audio system is pioneer branded. although there is space and wiring setup for adding a sub woofer, it doesn't come with the car. i spent an extra $350 for the upgraded system which sounds similar to the stock setup but offers more control options for your ipod and looks higher tech. to control your ipod through the head unit, you have to use the special aux cable available through scion or at any electronics store. there is no usb connection.
the audio sounds pretty decent and there are a variety of special settings to fine tune the sound, but my overall complaint is that the road noise can muffle out your music at times.
