Hey i just got an amp from my buddy its a Sony and it has a 2 channel 35 watts each i don't know what model i'll get that tomorrow but I hooked every thing up right i think for my subs i got them hooked into the amp the RCA into my deck which is FreeWay TCD-1361D i think the subs are jenson or something anyways i hooked up the ground into my deck ground wire and the remote into the ignition wire from my deck and the battery to the same cable that the deck is...so i wonder why it doesn't work i used 20 gauge wire(i think it was the thickest wire there at Canadian tire) for all 3 is that good enough i'm starting to think i need less of a gauge even though in my brain higher is better...does the amp have to be wired straight to the battery cuz mine isn't. and i'm just tryin to mickey mouse this into a 89' Ford F-150 worktruck so I dunno hope i can get help

none of it is hooked up right
the only wire that connects to the deck is the remote turn on wire and the rca's.
the ground attaches to the metal on the car within 2 feet or less and the power wire has to go to the battery. you need 8 or 10 guage wire for power/ground it will melt 20 guage.Posted 2 years ago #
