I have a set of surround system in my car, but I can only get sound coming from the front speakers, and not the rear.

That does not seem odd at all. Well, have you checked its wiring? Who knows, maybe the problem is just that the wires are not connected properly.

Have you double checked the wirings? Check on your plugs. The plugs may not be in its appropriate location and that may have caused the problem with your speakers.
