Hello all. I am trying to decide which Alpine headunit to buy and would appreciate and input/help I can get. 90% of my music listening is thru my Ipod. I am running a Precision power Equalizer PAR-650 that boosts the preamp output to 6 volts RMS and 10 volts RMS for subwoofer.
I am looking at the ida-x100 because it has 24 bitt Bur Brown DAC but only has 2 volt outputs.
The other headunit I am looking at is the discontinued DVA-9861 because I have a friend that is selling it brand new. Im not sure about the conversion of this headunit? Maybe 16 bit? It does have 4 volt outputs so I thought that was a good thing.
Not sure how much output voltage will really be needed considering that I am running the PPI equalizer.
