Hello, I have an lighting audio amp and it worked fine last week but my car battery was shot so I got a new battery since then my amp does not work. The cooling fan keeps running unless I disconnect the ground wire. could it be that my amp is shot and I need to buy a new one? What is a decent brand amp for a person that is on a budget and does not want to spend alot of money on an amp?
    Thank you

What do you mean battery was shot? How old's the battery? Have you check the voltage of the battery. It should be 12.7 fully charge. I did go test it with DMM. Could be the voltage isn't suppling enough electrical for you vehicle and stereo system. How's your power and ground connection of the amp? What ground wire are you referring? You don't wants to spend tons of cash on an amp, but how much are you willing to spend?
