the best way for you to interface your ipod to a 2008 toyota camry is a usa spec module. the usa spec pa20-toy is a good module. you can install it yourself if you are a little handy. you can get it from amazon here

also read my blog post about it here

The best way is to check into amazon.com. That's what I did. Can't tell you specifically which is good though since we all have different tastes.

Gee... You know it was worth signing up here after all. Knowing these things and such. Don't know much about gadgets even though I love them

The TOY03-POD/S digital protocol converter allows you to interface your iPod directly to the OEM radio in select 2003-2008 satellite radio ready or satellite radio equipped Lexus / Toyota / Scion vehicles. It also provides an additional auxiliary input. Using this interface allows you to retain the XM-Satellite radio (if present), while providing you with the most interactive OEM iPod “INTERFACE” in the industry. The factory radio must have a "SAT" button to be compatible.

I have a iphone/itouch car interface hooked up to my 2008 Toyota Camry. I have been using it on my itouch (1G) and have been able to charge and select playlists without any problems. However when I connect my iPhone 3G, I get a notification from the iPhone that charging is not possible (but I can still continue to listen to music)

How can this be, its just one connector. If it (charging) works on the iTouch why not on the iPhone 3G.
    thank you
