    currently have an aftermarket Pioneer head unit that is compatible with iPods, and my iPhone will play through the speakers
    , let me control the playlists, and all the the other normal features.

    But it was designed before the iPhone, so it doesn't support charging, and I really need something that does.

    So, I'm wondering if anyone else has an e36 aftermarket head unit that supports the iPhone 3G playing and charging.

    What's the best setup for this?

    I'd also prefer some kind of amber color on the screen to match the rest of the car, but it's not a necessity.

    That'd a good idea, but I'm also looking more for a head unit designed with the iPhone in mind, the one I have on there I've had since before the iPhone (original) came out and it's lacking some features, like calling for example..

    Sans charging, what's the best one out there with iPhone support? I could always get the adapter along with it if there's not one with charging support out there yet..
