Cant turn vol up, says TEL MUTE eclipse 5441

    Cant turn vol. up says TEL MUTE. eveything else works. tried hitting the reset button and everthing else i could thing of. Its a Eclipse car cd player #5441. Please help

    There is a wire on the back of the radio harness that is grounding out. I don't remember which color it is as I've not dealt with eclipse in a while. But when that wire recieves a ground...it mutes the radio. That wire is supposed to be energized by a hands free cell phone kit.
