it has a HDMI plug and also my sony 50in projection TV has one too...so can i play HD dvds on it? here is the link to get more info

no it cannot play hd dvds you will need a ext5ernal player to do that. so far no body makes a home theater in a box that plays either of the high def discs
the hdmi output is for simpler hookup and slightly better picture quality over component cables
