Amplifier Gets Hot

It could be that the gains/input are set too high, or a lower impedance than the amplifier is rated for, can cause this problem.

Getting hot is what amplifiers do. If it's not going into a thermal protection mode, producing smoke, or a burning smell, then it's probably normal. Keep in mind that a typical multi-channel amp is only about 50-60% efficient. That means that only about half the power it pulls from the vehicle's charging system gets turned into power output to the speakers. The rest is converted to heat. That's why amplifiers usually have ridges or "fins" on the case: they increase the surface area to help dissipate the heat.

might be u have some voltage problem in the input current or u may hav been running it for so long.

Okay. You see, its normal for any amplifiers to get hot or toasted after being used for a long duration of time. So, how long have you been using it before it gets hot or shut down?

Well, same here. I think it is just natural. We just shut it down or cool it down.

Unwrapped wire could be the problem. If you're using them for too long and heats up, the wire's cover might be melted resulting to intertwining wires that is a cause of an over heat.

Check the wirings of your amplifier. Or you may shut it off.

He doesn't have to shut it off actually since his amplifiers already do that.
