With the alpine i have a JL W7 sub and JL 500/1 and 300/4(?) amps. Recently the screen of the head unit would go from normally functioning to a blank white/fully lit up screen so i could not see any of the functions on screen just all white. If i turn the unit off and back on the screen returns to normal until I try to adjust the sub by pushing on the volume or changing songs. Now the audio to my speakers is gone, at first it cut out randomly. With iPod and CD the sub plays the bass but there is no audio going to the boston tweeters or the speakers in the second row. Im a total noob when in comes to audio, all the equipment was included in the Explorer when I bought it so i have no records nor do I know the exact installation setup. I can't figure out how to get the unit out to check the grounds/wires as the online PDF manual suggests because I don't have "bracket keys" that were originally included. I dunno if pictures will help, but I can post some if it will. Im driving delivery so having music is pretty important to me so i would be forever grateful for any help

You can probably get a set of keys off ebay or from Alpine if there are no shops in the area. I would pull it and wire another deck in to check the rest of the connections. Then you can bench test the Alpine. It sounds like there is definetly an iss with it though.
