Thinking about an alpine system for sat nav, DVD & iPod as I am struggling to find an acceptable Sat Nav system.

Anyone any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.

I would recommend the Kenwood DNX8120. it is a full featured unit that has tuner, cd/dvd, iPod, USB, Bluetooth, navagation, and alot more. i think it is better than the alpine.

I would recommend an Alpine - the iPod functionality is terrific, probably the best on the market. Not sure about a DVD and sat nav system though. Stay away from a kenwood head unit if you want to use your iPod - the iPod functionality is hopeless.

i agree, the ipod functionality is terrific on the alpine.
as for the kenwood. it is far from hopeless. on teh nav head units you can access every song on your ipod and it will allow you to sort it using artist, genre, playlist ect. plus it is really fast, plus you can get through you ipod on the kenwood just as fast as using the click wheel. as for the rest of the functions, the kenwood is a better overall head unit than the alpine.

I agree that the alpine is great with the ipod, which is actualy pretty rare among systems. however, I was not pleased with the alpine sat nav dvd, at least mine kept saying error when it tried to read the dvd, maybe it was just mine, but it was new and should not have happened!
