    Hi,

I was wondering how difficult it is to add a sub to a factory car radio? In Home Audio subs can be hooked up with speaker-level connections. Can this be done in the same manner with a car audio setup? And if so, would you have to run wires from the door speakers to the sub location and then another set of wires back to the doors to the speakers?

    Thanks.

in order to connect a subwoofer correctly, you need a high to low converter and an amplifier to power the sub. the stock radio does not have anywhere clost to enough power to power a subwoofer

Hi there! Just read this. As for me yes it is possible. I've done it actually. I've thought of it too and decided to make a little experiment. It was a success. I did it with the usual car audio set up. Can't really help you much since I don't know your car or your sub woofer, but you can rest assured it is possible. Good luck.

Yes it is possible but hard. I tried it and surrendered eventually. Couldn't afford to continue my self since some wiring are being wired on wrong wires.

i think you have to buy an amplifier, separating sub woofer, mid range and twitter and install your speakers to that amplifier. check this site if its available..

Well yeah. You just really need to be careful in doing so. Might as well make a plan on the wiring first even. Some people usually gets disastrous in doing this you know. Just be careful.

I actually agree. Besides this, I just want to add. You also should have a knowledge of your wiring. I experienced a burn in my wires because I installed a speaker too and had this incident. Better be careful that's all.

you should save your money and buy everything at the same time so you don't have to keep ripping apart your car...but if you must just start off with a head unit, amplifiers and subwoofers. then move on to your mids and high, just make sure the wires you get will be big enough to supply power to all the amps you will need

and i guess if you're still not satisfied you could put in some tvs and dvd players and even one of them ps3s
