<description>&#60;p&#62;Unwrapped wire could be the problem. If you're using them for too long and heats up, the wire's cover might be melted resulting to intertwining wires that is a cause of an over heat.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Getting hot is what amplifiers do. If it's not going into a thermal protection mode, producing smoke, or a burning smell, then it's probably normal. Keep in mind that a typical multi-channel amp is only about 50-60% efficient. That means that only about half the power it pulls from the vehicle's charging system gets turned into power output to the speakers. The rest is converted to heat. That's why amplifiers usually have ridges or &#34;fins&#34; on the case: they increase the surface area to help dissipate the heat.
