i just recently bought a wired fm modulator for my zune.....i hooked everything up(bolted the ground to metal) at first i attached the power to my decks power but it got bad sound quality, so i thought it was lack of power...i then attached the power to the fuse relay box, which my amp and subs are hooked up to...and its still buzzing! its horrible on acoustic songs and softer songs...i am using a high quality cable from the modulator to my zune so its not that....im thinking it might be that my car doesnt get very good radio reception...but i thought these things were supposed to input it directly into the radio....someone please help me!!!they want me to drive to where i bought it to get it checked out which is 200 miles away,, with gas prices thats just not possible, thanks anyone who helps

I am a vehicle enthusiast and am very happy to finally find a car rental company that says that they will guarantee you a specific make and model for the prestige collection (which is something I have wanted for a long time)...

I would like to know if this is legit. Also, please tell me if these prestige collection vehicles are scaled down with no options or equipment.

I got a radio installed in my car with an ipod cable running through the glove compartment and there was a warning tag on the cable that said it contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects and the user should wash his or her hands after each use. Are the risks of getting cancer from this type of product really that serious and should I worry about it? I think it might get annoying reminding myself to wash my hands after every car ride

My car has an AUX input, does that help at all? I hate FM transmitters and my car doesn't have a cassette deck.

My old car had a cassette deck and in terms of music, life was beautiful and easy back then. Then my car died, and I got a new one... ANYWAYS, my friend has the iTrip and her music sounds like AM radio, lol.

HELP! I spent so much on the effin iPod to not listen to it while driving, that's when I enjoy music the most.

I ran a 1/8" cable to a stereo 1/8" splitter. Ran one side of the spliiter to an FM modulator (much better than an FM transmitter as there is NO interference) wired between my radio and antenna. Then the other side of the splitter went to a 1/8" to RCA cable to my amp.

I keep the volume on my radio at full and use the MP3 player for volume control.

In fact, NPR believes that the issue is even worse and has asked the FCC to take steps to remove non-compliant devices from the streets.

A refreshing change (at least from the NAB-fueled whining over the FM modulators), NPR is calling into question all wireless FM modulators - from iPods, Satellite Radio, and other devices - and is asking for a review of the certification process.

CEA spokeswoman Meghan Henning said that "XM and Sirius had their FM modulators redesigned and re-certified," by the FCC, and would support a "rational and reasonable approach of ensuring compliance on an ongoing basis rather than recalling products already in the retail chain."

I would tend to agree. I can understand NPR's frustration (especially since many affiliates broadcast on 88.1 - the most common default FM transmitter setting), but a mass recall is simply not the solution

I'm thinking about this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...
and just want to know if it will produce better sound quality than an fm transmitter. I'm looking to listen to my ipod over the car stereo. Also, would it be hard to install or should I get someone at Best Buy to install it for me?

From our friends at http://spaceweather.com/ we learn that on Saturday morning, September 1st, a flurry of bright and colorful meteors might come streaming out of the constellation Auriga. The source of the shower is ancient Comet Kiess, which has laid down a trail of debris that Earth will cross this weekend. This is an irregular meteor shower which Earth encounters in varying periods of between 10 and 40 years. But will a shower really materialize? Forecasters are divided. Some expect a brief but beautiful display rivaling the Perseids. Others say the debris stream is too empty for significant fireworks. Either way, the peak is due around 11:30 UTC on Saturday morning. This timing strongly favors sky watchers in Hawaii and western parts of North America all the way from Mexico to California to Alaska. However, FM and TV DXers across the continent might be in for some meteor scatter DX as the signals heard are being reflected by meteors beyond the horizon.
