It pops up when I start up my desktop. Wincenter pops up along with it. I have malwarebytes previously installed but it will not run when I click it. Through my online searches I see that I need to change the file extension from exe. to bat. which I have done. So instead of running the software when I re-install it(I have uninstalled the previous version) I save it to my desktop. I believe it defaults to the name mbam-setup. I include the bat extension when I save it( so it says mbam-setup.bat) Now when I try and run the set up I see that it is a MS-DOS Batch file and save it. But yet again it will not open. I try in safe mode and with normal sign on screen.
