if you want good sound quality, at a great price, I suggest front door component speakers by JBL(cheap price, but great sound), and rear speakers by JBL as well. Your speakers will sound great, just run them off a new pioneer c.d player, either the 5 or 6 series would be more than enough. Installation for the cd player runs about $40, but circuit city does it free, they just charge for the car radio harness, and front door install is about $0, rear is about $45. Cheap price to pay for this great gear that wont make you go broke. The cd player will be about $200, but you can go with the lower series to save alittle more, also, dynamat the front door speakers to help them sound better, and reduce door rattle. email me at safeco1980@yahoo.com if you want more advice, I customized my cars audio, and I have custom front door components, rear aftermarket speakers, and pioneer 6000UB headunit, 2 12" rockford fosgate subwoofers, and 3 amplifiers, I can help you with anything you need.

none of it is hooked up right
the only wire that connects to the deck is the remote turn on wire and the rca's.
the ground attaches to the metal on the car within 2 feet or less and the power wire has to go to the battery. you need 8 or 10 guage wire for power/ground it will melt 20 guage.

Hey i just got an amp from my buddy its a Sony and it has a 2 channel 35 watts each i don't know what model i'll get that tomorrow but I hooked every thing up right i think for my subs i got them hooked into the amp the RCA into my deck which is FreeWay TCD-1361D i think the subs are jenson or something anyways i hooked up the ground into my deck ground wire and the remote into the ignition wire from my deck and the battery to the same cable that the deck is...so i wonder why it doesn't work i used 20 gauge wire(i think it was the thickest wire there at Canadian tire) for all 3 is that good enough i'm starting to think i need less of a gauge even though in my brain higher is better...does the amp have to be wired straight to the battery cuz mine isn't. and i'm just tryin to mickey mouse this into a 89' Ford F-150 worktruck so I dunno hope i can get help

What do you mean battery was shot? How old's the battery? Have you check the voltage of the battery. It should be 12.7 fully charge. I did go test it with DMM. Could be the voltage isn't suppling enough electrical for you vehicle and stereo system. How's your power and ground connection of the amp? What ground wire are you referring? You don't wants to spend tons of cash on an amp, but how much are you willing to spend?

Each sub is rated at 400RMS with a peak of 1200 W

I noticed that the frequency rating was pretty high with a low of 39hz

Would this amp be a good one for those two subs?

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_020DPX1851/Clarion-DPX1851.html

Hello hello, so heres my situation. I have a 07 Chevy cobalt with a 12w7 and a jl slash 1000/1. i just came upon another 12w7 for very cheap. So I want to use both. What is everyones opinians on amps? I was thinking about just getting another 1000/1. But i suppose its not out of the question to sell the JL and buy one amp. Issue would be with the 3 ohm load. Most amps arent designed for that sort of thing but if it is 1 and 2 ohms stable it woudlnt be an issue. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

if you want good sound quality, at a great price, I suggest front door component speakers by JBL(cheap price, but great sound), and rear speakers by JBL as well.
