About

Welcome to OEM-Interface.com.  This is a site created to help people interface their electronics into their cars.  To some people this is a difficult task.  There are so many cars and so many options.  Hopefully this site will be helpful.  As of right now, this site will focus mainly on iPod and MP3 player interfacing.   There will be some information on interfacing satellite radio and video into factory navigation screens.

Ok, so what makes me an expert in OEM Interfacing?

I am not an expert, no one is.   Every day car manufacturers come up with new electronic systems that make it very difficult to interface your electronics.  Once I think i have all my bases covered, a new car comes out with a new data bus system.

What is my background?

My name is Nick.  I run a mobile electronic store in New York.  Over 10 times a day i get asked the question, “Can you connect my iPOD/MP3 player to my car stereo.”  95% of the time, my answer is yes.  Most of the people are surprised I can do it.  People tell me that they spent hours on the internet trying to figure out what they need.

I don’t just run the store, I am the head installer.  I install many interfacing products a week.  I know which ones work and which ones do not.

The idea behind this site is to create a place for unbiased reviews of interfacing products.  I am going to do this using a blog.  The reason being there is so much information and so many products, it is impossible for me to include everything in one shot.  As I install a product I will put a review of it on the site.
