Kenwood eXcelon DNX6960 Navigation Head Unit

by Nick Mack ~ January 4th, 2010. Filed under: Navigation Systems, New Products.

For 2010, Kenwood has decided to introduce a new navigation head unit to it eXcelon line.  The DNX 6960 is for the people who would like the audio quality of an eXcelon head unit without the price of a flagship unit.  As of now,  the specs of DNX 6960 are unknown,  but I am told it will retail for around $1100, have a 6.1 inch screen, and probably no 5.1 dsp.

Check back in a couple weeks when Kenwood releases more information about the Kenwood eXcelon DNX6960 Navigation Receiver.

This nav unit has been out and is selling at Crutchfield now. I’ve purchased and installed one in my 2010 WRX, and I really like it. Good, snappy nav interface, with microSD card for future map updates. Radio has selectable colors to match with interior lights, and the bluetooth phone function works like a charm.

At 1k, a pretty good deal for a double din, kenwood excelon brand new.
